I enjoyed learning about the shoshone Indian tribe. Their traditions and way of living were very interesting to me. It was fun to learn about the games the kids would play and to see the dolls they would play with. I had fun making a shoshone tepee for our class project.

My favorite was the Ute tribe. I liked it because I was interested in their homes. I also liked what they ate. I bet they were extremely healthy. I am going to eat their diet for one day. I didn't make a Ute tipi.

My favorite Indian tribe is the Goshute Indians. I like their Wickiups and how they make it out of grass and straw and sticks. When I made a model of the Wickiup, I realized how hard they worked to make a good place to stay in. I also like how they were nomads, moving to different places every season!I think it would be fun to see new scenery every few months. I had a lot of fun learning about the Goshute Indians. They are hard workers. I think they are really special.

My favorite tribe is the Navajo Indians. I like their houses too, when I made my model of the Hogon I felt like one of those people who make models and figures at the museum. I also liked them the best in 3rd grade too! I think the Navajo is a fun tribe to learn about. BY: Sara Hakes

I liked the Navajos the best. Because there food, clothes, and houses are so interesting. When I was reading a Navajo book from the library I learned that they make there own special type of bread. I'd really like to try there heritage for a few days because I'd like to learn that bread recipe it looked so good. I'd also really like to learn how to weave rugs, bed spread, and all sorts of stuff. It would really be cool to learn all the games the kids play or build a Hogan and live in it. Having a Navajo heritage would be cool. When I make any type of Hogan I will remember the people of Navajo's.

My favorite tribe is the Ancestral Puebloans (Anasazi) because they could build giant houses out of clay and rock. Building something like that back then would be very hard. Not only that, they built the houses on cliff faces. You would have to be very skilled to do that. That is why I like the Ancestral Puebloans (Anasazi).

My favorite tribe was the Goshutes.I liked them because they dug almost all of their diet out of the ground. When I made a model of a wickiup I tried to include a few things from the ground.

My favorite tribe is the Ute. I like the Ute tipis. When I made my tipi, it was really challenging. When I really think about it, the Utes back then must had worked even harder to build their real tipis! I also like it because it is named after Utah. The Utes must have worked very hard to take the skin off from the buffalo and make use of the rest of the animal parts. Some of their meats are, buffalo, deer and rabbits. One of the nuts they eat is pine nuts. I really like the Utes. By: Alan Mo

I liked the Utes the best, because they do many amazing things.
They make very cool tipis for shelter. I think it is awesome
that the Utes eat a lot of things that I would not think of eating such as buffalo. They also made all of their clothes themselves. I am impressed that they made everything they owned. It would be hard to live like that!

I liked the Ute tribe the best, because they did a lot of great things. They made big tepees for shelter. I think it would be hard to make a real tepee because when I did my tepee, it was hard. The Ute tribe also ate stuff I wouldn't eat today. They ate deer, rabbit, buffalo, and pine nuts. Those are just a few things they ate. I liked learning about the Ute tribe!

I like the Navajo hogans best because I thought that homes were cool because they were held up by just mud and sticks. I sometimes wonder if they got cold at night. I also wonder what they had in their homes. I thought it was very fun to make a hogan myself! I can't imagine how hard it would be to make a real hogan.

I like the Paiutes best, because I like their houses (Pit Houses). That's why I did one for my project. I also like their nickname, The Gathering Indians. This is why I like the Paiutes best.
